Cancer Care of Maine is located in the Webber Building at Eastern Maine Medical Center.

It is on the Penobscot River in Bangor, Maine.

My friend, Jean, took me up to my last chemotherapy treatment.

After lab work and doctor's appointment, I am pre-medicated then hooked up to monitor and chemo drip through the portacath in my chest for a 3 hour  infusion.  It could be pretty boring with nothing to do but eat, read, or watch TV.

I was so happy my friend, Irene, who is on vacation from teaching, came to visit me in the hospital, making the procedure much more pleasant, and the time go by much faster.

I'm just glad it's done and I lived through it. I know it will take some months to recover from chemotherapy treatment, but it's good to be home.
